Can I get a temporary passport?

A temporary passport is issued only in specific cases. Such a passport document can be obtained by:

Can I apply for a temporary passport for a child if I have lost his ID card and if I have a new child’s passport to collect in Poland?

You can apply to the consul for a temporary passport to return to the country. Remember to take a temporary passport issued by a consul when going to the office (in the country) to pick up a new passport.

I lost my child’s passport. What should I do?

If you have lost your child’s passport or temporary passport, you must immediately notify the passport authority – the consul is the passport authority abroad.

Submitting a notification to the consulate about the loss of the passport means that the document will expire on the day the consul is notified of the loss of the passport.

Remember! If you find a passport, the loss of which you reported at the consulate, you should immediately return this document to the passport authority (abroad – to the consul).
